16Getting StartedStep 3: Selecting the matchingcolor systemThe color system of the DVD player, discand TV should match in order for the discto play. Before changing the TV system,determine the color system of your TV.1 Press SETUP.2 Press e r to select {SYSTEM} andpress q.3 Press e r to select {TV System} andpress q.4 Use e r to select one of the optionsbelow:{NTSC}Select this if the connected TV has theNTSC color system. It will change thevideo signal of a PAL disc and output it toNTSC format.{PAL}Select this if the connected TV has thePAL color system. It will change the videosignal of an NTSC disc and output it toPAL format.{PAL 60}Select this if the connected TV has thePAL 60 color system. It will change thevideo signal of an NTSC disc and outputit to PAL 60 format.{Auto}Select this if the connected TV iscompatible with both NTSC and PAL.
