17RQT9118Basic OperationsRefer to “Advanced Playback” (➔ 32) for detail information.Preparation:Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input to suit theconnections to this unit.Playing DiscsRAM -R -R DL -RW(V) +R +R DL +RW DVD-V -RW(VR) CD VCDto turn the unit on.to open the tray (Button located on front of the unit).Insert a disc (➔ 14).–– The tray closes and play begins.Stopping PlayPress [g STOP].– The stopped position ismemorized.(Resume play function)– The stopped position is clearedwhen you press [g STOP]several times.Pausing PlayPress [h PAUSE].– Press again to restart play.Menu Screens on the TVDVD-V VCDGenerally, menu screens that appear on the TV may be navigated as follows:e. g.,PlayChapter ListAudio TracksSubtitlesTrailerDVD TOP MENUDVD-Ve, r, w, q to select an item, thenYou can sometimes use the numbered buttons to select an item.VCDPress the numbered buttons to select an item.e. g., “5”: ➔ “15”: ➔TipsTo return to the menu screenDVD-V1.
