90VQT4C38When disposing of or giving away the SDcard, note that:≥ Formatting and deletion of this unit orcomputer only changes the filemanagement information and does notcompletely delete the data in the SD card.≥ It is recommended that the SD card isphysically destroyed or the SD card isphysically formatted using this unit whendisposing of or giving away the SD card.To physically format an SD card, connectthe unit via the AC adaptor, select[SETUP] # [FORMAT CARD] from themenu, and then press and hold the deletebutton on the screen below for about3 seconds. When the SD card datadeletion screen appears, select [YES],and then follow the on-screen instructions.≥ The customer is responsible for themanagement of the data in the SD card.≥ When the LCD monitor gets dirty, wipe itwith a soft cloth, such as eye glasscleaner.≥ In a place with drastic temperaturechanges, condensation may form on theLCD monitor. Wipe it with a soft cloth,such as eye glass cleaner.≥ When the unit has become very cold, forexample due to storage in a cold area, itsLCD monitor will be slightly darker thanusual immediately after the unit is turnedon. The normal brightness will be restoredwhen the unit’s internal temperature rises.When condensation forms on the unit, thelens will cloud up and the unit may not workproperly. Make every effort to ensure thatcondensation does not form. If it does form,take the actions described below.Causes of condensationCondensation takes place when theambient temperature or humidity ischanged as follows.≥ When this unit is brought inside from thecold (e.g. a ski slope) to a warm room.≥ When this unit is moved from anair-conditioned car to outside.≥ When a cold room has been warmed upquickly.≥ When cool wind from an air conditioner isdirectly blown onto this unit.≥ After rain showers.≥ When this unit is in a very humid placewhere the air is thick with steam. (e.g. aheated swimming pool)Helpful hintIf, for example, you have used this unit forrecording on a ski slope and are taking it intoa heated room, place the unit inside a plasticbag, remove as much of the air from insidethe bag as possible, then seal the bag.Leave the unit for about an hour in the roomso the temperature of the unit is close to theambient temperature of the room, then useit.About the SD cardLCD monitorExtremely high precision technology isemployed to produce the LCD Monitorscreen featuring a total of approximately230,000 dots.
