The networked system is called a One-look network and it can contain up to 16KX-NS series PBXs and up to 12 legacy gateways (KX-NS1020/KX-TDA series/KX-TDE series/KX-NCPseries) or 24 expansion units (KX-NS720). The maximum number in combination with legacy gateways andexpansion unit. (For more details, refer to "8.4.1 One-look Network".) In a One-look network, a KX-NS1000PBX serves as the Master unit, which controls the other PBXs, known as Slave units. The Slave units sharesetup information and resources controlled by the Master unit. A One-look network is useful when the networkwill consist only of KX-NS series PBXs and a private IP network is feasible. A considerable amount of setupis done automatically by the PBXs, so setup and maintenance is much simpler than other type of networks, such as a TIE line network. All units can be programmed from one location. Resource sharing allows users tointeract as if they were all connected to one PBX, which eliminates the need to manage information such asPBX access codes. For details about programming the One-look network, refer to "5.5 Programming a One-look Network".For details about using a One-look network, refer to "14.1.4 One-look Network" in the Feature Manual.*1 NS-Net is a network protocol only used for Panasonic products.Document Version 2016-03 Installation Manual 352.1.1 System Configurations
