Re-register the cordlesshandset (p. 68, 69).Static, sound cuts in/out,fades. Interference from otherelectrical units.• Move the cordless handset and the base unitaway from other electrical appliances (p. 3).• Walk closer to the base unit.• Raise the base unit antennas.• Press [ ] on the cordless handset to turn onthe Clarity Booster feature (p. 31).• If the unit is connected to a telephone linewith DSL service, you may hear noise fromthe receiver or speaker during conversations.We recommend connecting a noise filter(contact your DSL service provider) to thetelephone line between the base unit and thetelephone line jack.The base unit and/or cordlesshandset does not ring.• The ringer volume is turned off. Set to HIGH,MEDIUM or LOW (p. 21).• If more than one other unit is in use, thecordless handset/base unit may not ring.Users will hear incoming call tones (p. 52).The cordless handset displayis blank.• If only the cordless handset display is blank,fully charge the battery (p. 12).You cannot program anyfunction items.• Programming is not possible while the unit isbeing used.• Do not pause for over 60 seconds whileprogramming.• Walk closer to the base unit if you are usingthe cordless handset.• While another user is listening to messagesor the Answering System is responding to acall, you cannot program.
