34Voice Mail ServiceVoice mail is an automatic answering service offered by your telephone company. Ifyou subscribe to this service, your telephone company’s voice mail system cananswer calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone or when yourline is busy. Callers can leave messages that are saved in virtual voice mailboxes,which are maintained for you at the phone company, allowing you to listen to yourmessages whenever you like.The unit will let you know that someone has left voice mail for you (p. 36).Once you have stored your voice mail access number, you can access your voicemailbox simply by pressing the soft key ( ), then pressing [C] or [s] on thehandset.Storing a Voice Mail Access Number1 Press [MENU].2 Scroll to “Initial setting” by pressing[d] or [B], then press the soft key ( ).3 Press the soft key ( ) at “Voice Mail”.4 Press the soft key ( ) at “Store VMaccess#”.5 Enter your access number, up to 32 digits.• If a pause is required for dialing, press the softkey ( ).*• Each time you press the soft key ( ), a digitis erased.
