Speed DialerFor assistance, please visit http://www.panasonic.com/consumersupport 31Base unit speed dialerThe base unit speed dialer allows you tomake calls without having to dial manually.You can assign one phone number to eachof the 10 dial keys ({0} to {9}) on the baseunit.Adding phone numbers to thespeed dialerImportant:L Before storing phone numbers, makesure the base unit is not being used.1 Press {PROGRAM}.L The IN USE indicator will flash.2 Enter the phone number (max. 32digits).L If a pause is required for dialing,press {PAUSE} where needed.L If you misdial, press {STOP} andrepeat from step 1.3 Press {PROGRAM}.4 Press a dial key ({0} to {9}).L The base unit will beep.L To store other phone numbers, repeatfrom step 1.Note:L If a phone number is stored in a dial keywhich already contains a phone number,the old number will be erased.L We recommend you make a note ofwhich phone numbers are stored inwhich dial keys.PAUSE button (for PBX/long distanceservice users)A pause is sometimes required whenmaking calls using a PBX or long distanceservice.For example, if you need to dial the lineaccess number “9” with a PBX:In step 2, press {9}, {PAUSE}, then enterthe phone number.Note:L A 3.5 second pause is inserted eachtime {PAUSE} is pressed. Pressrepeatedly to insert longer pauses. “P”is displayed when {PAUSE} is pressed.L When {*} is pressed, “$” is displayed.When {#} is pressed, “#” is displayed.To erase a stored phone number1 Press {PROGRAM} 2 times.2 Press the desired dial key ({0} to {9}).L The base unit will beep.Calling someone with the speeddialer1 Press {SP-PHONE}.2 Press {AUTO}.3 Press the desired dial key ({0} to {9}).L The stored phone number will bedialed.Note:L Speed dial numbers stored in the baseunit can only be dialed from the baseunit.
