Making/Answering CallsFor assistance, please visit http://www.panasonic.com/help 27Note:L A 3.5 second pause is inserted eachtime {PAUSE} is pressed. Pressrepeatedly to insert longer pauses.Using the base unit1 {SP-PHONE}2 Dial the phone number.3 When the other party answers, speakinto the MIC.L Speak alternately with the other party.4 When you finish talking, press {SP-PHONE}.Note:L Use the speakerphone in a quietenvironment.L While on a call, you can switch from thebase unit to the handset:– Press {C} on the handset, thenpress {SP-PHONE} on the base unit.– If the handset is on the base unit,simply lift it.Adjusting the speaker volumePress {^} or {V} repeatedly while talking.Redialing the last number dialed{SP-PHONE} i {REDIAL}Answering callsWhen a call is being received, the ringerindicator on the handset and the IN USEindicator on the base unit flash rapidly.Using the handset1 Lift the handset and press {C} or {s}.L You can also answer the call bypressing any button except joystick,navigator key, or {OFF}. (Any keytalk feature)2 When you finish talking, press {OFF}.Note:L You can change the ringer indicator lightcolor (page 47) and the ringer tone(page 49). You can also adjust thehandset ringer volume (page 47).Auto talkThis feature allows you to answer a call bysimply lifting the handset off the base unitor charger. You do not need to press {C}.To activate this feature, see page 46.Note:L If you subscribe to Caller ID service andwant to view the caller's information afterlifting up the handset to answer a call,leave this feature off.Temporary ringer offWhile the handset is ringing for a call, youcan turn the ringer off temporarily bypressing { ~ } or {OFF}.
