To activate this feature, seepage 29.Temporary ringer offWhile the handset is ringing for anoutside call, you can turn the ringer offtemporarily by pressing {OFF}.Adjusting the base unit ringervolumePress {>} or {<} repeatedly to selectthe desired volume.L To turn the ringer off, press and hold{<} until the unit beeps 2 times.Useful features duringa callHOLD buttonThis feature allows you to put anoutside call on hold.Press {HOLD} 2 times during anoutside call.L To release the hold, press {C}.L Another handset user can take thecall by pressing {C}.Note:L If another phone is connected to thesame line (page 10), you can alsotake the call by lifting its handset.L If a call is kept on hold for more than 6minutes, an alarm tone starts tosound and the ringer indicator flashesrapidly.
