The display shows “Missed call”.This lets you know if you should view the caller listto see who called while you were away.Note:R Even when there are unviewed missed calls,“Missed call” disappears from the standbydisplay if the following operation is performed byone of the units:– A handset is replaced on the charger.– Pressing MOFFN on a handset.– Pressing MnN (EXIT) on the base unit.Phonebook name displayWhen caller information is received and it matchesa phone number stored in the phonebook, thestored name in the phonebook is displayed andlogged in the caller list.Talking Call DisplayBase unit / HandsetThis feature lets you know who is calling withoutlooking at the display.To use this feature, you must:– subscribe to a Call Display service of yourservice provider/telephone company.– turn this feature on (page 22).When caller information is received, the handsetsand base unit announce the caller’s name orphone number received from your service provider/telephone company following every ring.R Name pronunciation may vary. This feature maynot pronounce all names correctly.R Call Display service has a limit of how manycharacters can be displayed. If the caller’s nameis too long, the unit may not be able to display orannounce the entire name.R The announcement is heard at the same levelas the ringer volume (page 14, 21, 22).R If you turn on the answering system and set thenumber of rings “2 rings” (page 35), theunit does not announce the caller information. If“Toll saver” is selected and there is a newmessage, the unit does not announce the callerinformation.R When you receive a call while on the phone, the2nd caller’s name is not announced even if yousubscribe to both Call Display and Call Waitingwith Call Display services.Phonebook name announcementWhen caller information is received and it matchesa phone number stored in the phonebook, thestored name in the phonebook is announced.Ringer IDThis feature can help you identify who is calling byusing different ringer tones for different groups ofcallers. When adding an entry to the phonebook,you can assign it to the desired group (page 17).When a call is received from a caller assigned to agroup, the ringer you selected for that group ringsafter caller information is displayed.
