Useful Information50Character entryThe dial keys are used to enter characters and numbers. Each dial key has multiplecharacters assigned to it. The characters that can be entered depend on thecharacter entry mode (page 50).– Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor left or right.– Press dial keys to enter characters and numbers.– Press ^ to erase the character or number highlighted by the cursor. Press andhold ^ to erase all characters or numbers.– Press {*} (A→a) to switch between uppercase and lowercase.– To enter another character located on the same dial key, press {>} to move thecursor to the next space, then press the appropriate dial key.– If you do not press any dial key within 5 seconds after entering a character, thecharacter is fixed and the cursor moves to the next space.Character entry modesThe available character entry modes are Alphabet (ABC), Numeric (0-9), Greek(F), Extended 1 (G), Extended 2 (H), and Cyrillic (I). For SMSmessages, Alphabet (ABC), Numeric (0-9), Greek (F), and Extended 1 (G)modes are available.
