Example: If you need to dial the line accessnumber “9” when making outside calls with a PBX:Handset1 9 a MDN (Pause)2 Dial the phone number. a M NBase unit1 9 a MPAUSEN2 Dial the phone number.3 Lift the corded handset.Note for handset and base unit:R A 3.5 second pause is inserted each time youpress MDN (Pause) on the handset or MPAUSENon the base unit.Answering callsUsing the handset1 Lift the handset and press M N or MZN whenthe unit rings.2 When you finish talking, press MOFFN or placethe handset on the charger.Any key answer: You can answer the call bypressing any dial key.Auto talk: You can answer calls simply by liftingthe handset (page 30).Temporary ringer off: You can turn the ringer offtemporarily by pressing M N.Using the base unit1 Lift the corded handset or press MZN when theunit rings.2 When you finish talking, place the cordedhandset on the cradle.
