Before Use4VQT0V10-If you see this symbol-∫ Care of the camera• Do not strongly shake or bump thecamera. The camera may stop operatingnormally, pictures may not be recorded orthe lens may be damaged.• Sand or dust may cause the camera tomalfunction. Make sure that sand ordust does not get into the lens or theterminals when using the camera on abeach etc.• Make sure that water does not get into thecamera when using it on a rainy day or ona beach.• If water or seawater splashes on thecamera, wet a soft cloth with tap water,wring it well and use it to wipe thecamera body carefully. Then, wipe thecamera again with a dry cloth.∫ About the LCD monitor• Do not press the LCD monitor withexcessive force. Uneven colors mayappear on the LCD monitor and it maymalfunction.• Condensation may form on the LCDmonitor in places with large temperaturedifferences. Wipe the condensation with asoft, dry cloth.• If the camera is cold when you turn it on,the picture on the LCD monitor will beslightly darker than usual at first. However,the picture will return to normal brightnesswhen the internal temperature of thecamera increases.∫ About the Lens• Do not press the lens with excessiveforce.• Do not leave the camera with the lensfacing the sun as it may cause the camerato malfunction. Also, be careful when youleave the camera outside or near awindow.∫ About Condensation (When the lensis fogged up)• Condensation occurs when the ambienttemperature or humidity changes asdescribed below.
