Others83VQT1X23Cautions for UseIn the event of abnormal operation (e.g. if the unit emits smoke or an unusual smell),immediately stop operating the unit and consult the Panasonic Customer Care Centre on132600.Optimal use of the cameraTake care not to drop or knock the unit or put a lot of pressure on it.• Take care not to knock or drop the bag/case that you inserted the camera in as theshock may cause damage to the camera, lens or LCD monitor.• Do not attach any other items to the hand strap that’s included with your camera. Whilebeing stored, that item can rest against the LCD monitor and damage it.• Do not use a paper bag as it can easily rip causing the camera to fall and be damaged.• We strongly recommend you purchase a good camera bag/case from your local dealerto protect your camera.Keep the camera as far away as possible from electromagnetic equipment (such asmicrowave ovens, TVs, video games etc.).• If you use the camera on top of or near a TV, the pictures and sound on the camera maybe disrupted by electromagnetic wave radiation.• Do not use the camera near cell phones because doing so may result in noise adverselyaffecting the pictures and sound.• Recorded data may be damaged, or pictures may be distorted, by strong magnetic fieldscreated by speakers or large motors.• Electromagnetic wave radiation generated by microprocessors may adversely affect thecamera, disturbing the pictures and sound.• If the camera is adversely affected by electromagnetic equipment and stops functioningproperly, turn the camera off and remove the battery or disconnect AC adaptor (DMW-AC6G: optional). Then reinsert the battery or reconnect AC adaptor and turn the cameraon.Do not use the camera near radio transmitters or high-voltage lines.• If you record near radio transmitters or high-voltage lines, the recorded pictures andsound may be adversely affected.Always use the supplied cords and cables. If you use optional accessories, use thecords and the cables supplied with them.Do not extend the cords or the cables.Do not spray insecticides or volatile chemicals onto the camera.• If the camera is sprayed with such chemicals, the camera body may be damaged andthe surface fi nish may peel off.• Do not keep rubber or plastic products in contact with the camera for a long period oftime.MaintenanceUninstall the battery or DC coupler (DMW-DCC2: optional: P80) and wipe them witha soft, dry cloth.• When the camera becomes dirty, clean it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then wipe thecamera with a dry cloth.• Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, alcohol or kitchen detergent. This cancause damage to the body of the camera and the surface may peel off.
