Advanced Operations6968TitleProcedureRemarks, etc.Recording Still Pictures on theMultiMediaCard (Card Photoshot)(NV-DS25 only)You can record still picture onto the MultiMediaCardboth through the Movie Camera’s lens and fromscenes that you have already recorded on thecassette.³Sound is not recorded.³The Shutter Effect (p. 31) cannot be used.º Recording Still Pictures on theMultiMediaCard in the Camera Modeº Recording Still Pictures on theMultiMediaCard in the VCR Mode:3Press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button at the scene thatyou want to record.1Set the [OFF/ON] Switchto [ON].The [CAMERA] Lamplights.³Electromagnetic waves, static electricity, malfunctionof the Movie Camera or of the MultiMediaCard itselfcould erase the data recorded on it. To prevent theloss of picture data, we recommend that you make abackup copy on a cassette (p. 76) or on the computer(p. 78).³If you use the Card Photoshot Function duringrecording, the Movie Camera is automatically put inthe Recording Pause Mode.³Before pressing the [PHOTO SHOT] Button, werecommend that you press the [;/STILL] Button tocheck the picture.2Slide the [TAPE/CARD]Selector to [CARD]."Press the [MODE]Button until the [VCR]Lamp lights.The [VCR] Lamp lights.#Slide the [TAPE/CARD]Selector to [CARD].$Start playback and press the [PHOTO SHOT]Button at the scene that you want to record.The picture stands still for approximately 4 seconds(when [PICTURE QUALITY] on the [CARD SETUP]Sub-Menu is set to [NORMAL]) while the picture isbeing recorded.Quality of Card Photoshot PicturesYou can choose among 3 picture quality modes forthe Card Photoshot Function.Maximum recordable number of pictures on thesupplied 8 MB MultiMediaCardFINE: Approx. 50 picturesNORMAL: Approx. 100 picturesECONOMY: Approx. 200 pictures³When recording in more than one mode (FINE,NORMAL, ECONOMY) on the sameMultiMediaCard, the maximum recordablenumber differs from the numbers indicated above.³The maximum recordable numbers areapproximations.
