Record mode21VQT0P88Recording on a tapeOpen the lens cover. (-12-)(When the camera is turned on with the lenscover closed, the automatic white balanceadjustment may not function properly. Please turnthe camera on after opening the lens cover.)≥Set to Tape Recording Mode.1 Press the recording start/stop button tostart recording.2 Press the recording start/stop button againto pause recording.≥For the recording time on a tape, refer to -10-.≥Carry out a recording check (-22-) to verify thatthe image is recorded properly.≥In order to find the unrecorded section, carry outthe blank search (-22-) .ª On-screen display in the taperecording mode¢These indications are displayed only when thecard is inserted.1) Recording time elapse2) Remaining tape indication3) Still picture size4) Number of recordable still pictures(When no picture can be recorded, thisindication will flash in red.)5) Quality of still picturesª Concerning the remaining tape timeindication on the screen≥The remaining tape time is indicated in minutes.(When it reaches less than 3 minutes, theindication starts flashing.)≥During a 15-second or shorter recording, theremaining tape time indication may not bedisplayed or the remaining tape time may not bedisplayed correctly.≥In some cases, the remaining tape timeindication may display remaining tape time thatis 2 to 3 minutes shorter than the actualremaining tape time.Recording still pictures on a cardwhile recording image onto a tapeYou can record still pictures while recordingimage onto a tape.≥Set to Tape Recording Mode.1 Press the [PHOTO SHOT] button fully whilerecording image onto a tape.≥For the number of still pictures to be recordedon a card, refer to -60-.≥When recording pictures onto a card, therecording start/stop button is disabled.≥You can select a picture quality for still picturesto be recorded.
