To avoid such phenomena, adjustthe white balance.White balance adjustment determines the whitecolour under different light sources. Byrecognizing which is the white colour undersunlight and which is the white colour under afluorescent lamp, the movie camera can adjustthe balance among the other colours.Since white colour is the reference of all colours(light), the movie camera can record pictures in anatural hue if it can recognize the reference whitecolour.ª Auto focusAuto focus automatically moves the focusing lensforward and backward inside the movie camera tobring the subject into focus.Auto focus has the following characteristics.≥Adjusts so that the vertical lines of a subject areseen more clearly.≥Attempts to bring an object with higher contrastinto focus.≥Focuses on the screen centre only.Due to these characteristics, auto focus does notwork correctly in the following situations.
