Before using9LSQT1008ª How to turn the power on and off withthe LCD monitor/viewfinderWhen the power switch is set to [ON], the powercan be turned on and off with the LCD monitorand the viewfinder when the unit is in TapeRecording Mode.1 Open the LCD monitor out or extend theviewfinder to use. (-10-)≥The LCD monitor or the viewfinder will beactivated.2 Close the LCD monitor and retract theviewfinder.≥The power will not turn off unless the LCDmonitor is closed and the viewfinder isretracted.≥The status indicator automatically goes offand the power turns off. (If quick start is set to[ON] (-11-), the unit goes into quick startstandby mode and the status indicator lightsgreen.)≥The power does not turn off even if the LCDmonitor is closed and the viewfinder isretracted while recording on a tape.3 Open the LCD monitor or extend theviewfinder to turn the power on and use themovie camera again.≥The status indicator lights up and the powerturns on.Setting date and timeWhen the movie camera is turned on for the firsttime, [SET DATE AND TIME] will appear.≥Select [YES] and press the centre of thejoystick. Do steps 2 and 3 below to set the date/time.If the screen shows the incorrect date/time, thenadjust it.≥Set to Tape Recording Mode.1 Set [BASIC] >> [CLOCK SET] >> [YES].
