Please take non repairableunits back to your dealer or a recycling company.Do not subject the projector to excessive vibrationor shocks. The projector lens need to be handled with care. Cover the lens with the lens cover when transportingthe projector.When transporting the projector, hold the body atthe bottom securely. Do not hold the adjuster legs or the top cover to movethe projector, as this may damage the projector.Be sure to always remove the lens during transport. The projection lens is susceptible to vibrations andimpacts.Avoid setting up in places which are subject tovibration or shocks. The internal parts can be damaged, which may causemalfunctions or accidents.Avoid setting up in places which are subject tosudden temperature changes, such as near an airconditioner or lighting equipment. The life of the lamp may be shortened or the projectormay be turned off. See “TEMP indicator” on page 28.Do not set up the projector near high-voltage powerlines or near motors. The projector may be subject to electromagneticinterference.If installing the projector to the ceiling, ask aqualified technician to carry out all installation work. You will need to purchase the separate installation kit(Model No. ET-PKD56H, ET-PKD55S). Furthermore,all installation work is should only be carried out by aqualified technician.If using this projector at high elevations 1 400 -2 700 m (4 593 - 8 858 ft) sea level, set the HIGHALTITUDE MODE to ON. Failure to observe this may result in malfunctions orthe life of the lamp or the other components may beshortened.Be sure to install the projection lens cover afterinstalling the projection lens. If this not done, dust will collect inside the projectorand problems with the projector will result.In order to get the best picture quality Draw curtains or blinds over any windows and turn offany lights near the screen to prevent outside light orlight from indoor lamps from shining onto the screen. In rare cases, wafture can occur on the screenaffected by the warm air from the exhaust portdepending on the environment. Make sure that thereis no equipment in front of the set which willrecirculate the exhaust air from the set or othernearby equipment.Do not touch the surfaces of the lens or the frontglass with your bare hands. If the surface of the lens becomes dirty fromfingerprints or anything else, this will be magnifiedand projected onto the screen.
