79LSQT1449 Do not turn off this unit or the DVD burner ordisconnect the Mini AB USB Connection Cablewhile copying. Also, do not shake this unit andthe DVD burner. You cannot connect a USB hub and use it. You cannot eject a disc while copying. When data is divided and copied to more thanone disc, a disc with a large unused area mayresult since data is recorded by scene. After data is copied to a disc, images cannot beadded to the disc by connecting the unit to theDVD burner. Use of a CD-RW or CD-R disc isrecommended for copying still pictures that aresmall in size. If “READING DISC...” is displayed on thescreen for more than 2 minutes, remove thedisc from the DVD burner and make sure thedisc is usable and was not inserted upsidedown. ( 74) There is no guarantee that a disc created byconnecting this unit and the DVD burner willplay back on any playable device. The recording date for scenes or files copied toa disc using the DVD burner with this unit is thedate that the scene or file was copied. Thisdate may not be displayed properly dependingon the software used. Data that has been recorded on another devicemay not be copied, or it may not play properlyeven if it is copied. When a still picture file is copied to an SD cardusing a PC and other equipment but it does notshow up on the display of the unit, the imagewill not be copied to the disc. About the time it takes to copyThe time it takes for copying to 1 disc.(When copying 4 GB of motion pictures to 1 disc)The time it takes to copy differs depending on thenumber of scenes recorded on the media, type ofdisc, number of discs copied, and the roomtemperature. Also, it takes time to automaticallyverify the copied data. For this reason, it maytake longer to copy than the recording time onthe medium.Wait until the message is displayed indicatingcompletion of copying. A DVD-R DL disc has two layers of recordingsurface so the copy time is approximately 1.5to 2 times that of a DVD-R disc. About playing back the discsA disc created with the DVD burner can beplayed back with a DVD player. (For disccompatibility, refer to the operating instructions ofthe player.)The DVD burner is capable of recording amaximum of 9999 still pictures on a single disc.Since the maximum number of still pictures thatcan be played back may vary with the player,some of the still pictures on the disc may not playback.If the device is not capable of playing the disc,connect the DVD burner to this unit for playback.Notes for copying data todiscs using the DVD burnerWhen deleting data on the media aftermaking a copy, be sure to play back thediscs to check that they have been copiedcorrectly before deleting. ( 80)When a disc that was created with this unitand the DVD burner is inserted into the DVDrecorder, a message may be displayedprompting you to format the disc.
