SPECIAL REMOTE BUTTONSSpecial Remote ButtonsASPECTAspect Ratio Selections _)The ASPECT button changes the aspect ratio (picture display shape) in response tothe source signal and monitor format. You can also change the aspect ratio for yourpersonal viewing preference. Each time the ASPECT button is pressed, the STB willcycle to the next available aspect ratio choice.Full Aspect16:9 or 4:3 picture will be displayed in the center of the viewing screen at full screenwidth and height.Zoom AspectThe picture will be expanded uniformly (width and height) to fill the viewing screen.The picture will be cropped, either hodzontally or vertically to fit the viewing screen.The cropped portion of the odginal picture will be lost from view.Note: To properly display Closed Captioningin some cases; the aspect ratio shouldbechangedfromZoom to Full.Letbox (Letterbox) Aspect (4:3 Monitor)Video formats with aspect ratios greater than 16:9 will be displayed at the properwidth, so no video information is lost. Black or gray bars will appear above and belowthe picture.Shrink Aspect (4:3 Monitor)The source aspect ratio will be maintained and the picture will shrink into full view onthe screen.Sidebar Aspect (16:9 Monitor)4:3 pictures will be viewed on a wide aspect "IV screen with vertical bars on both sidesof the picture.Expand Aspect (16:9 Monitor)4:3 pictures will be viewed on a wide aspect TV screen with the picture digitally"stretched" to fill the screen.Note: See following page for illustrations of the various aspect ratios.[] |
