It is not possible to boot from otherfloppy disk drives.z Check that the boot disk is correctly inserted.z Run the Setup Utility, and confirm the following settings.• [USB Port] and [Legacy USB Support] are set to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu. (Î page 81)• [USB FDD] is the first device shown in [Boot priority order] in the [Boot] menu. (Î page 83)z Turn off the computer, and reconnect the external floppy disk drive.Windows startup is slowz Restore the Setup Utility’s settings to their default values. *1z If you install resident software after purchasing this computer, disable the resident software.z This problem may be eliminated by adding external memory. *1z Defragment the disk with the Disk Defragmenter.*1 The processing speed depends on the application software used, so this operation may not cause the processing speed to increase.The computer does not enter standby or hibernationz If a peripheral is connected, first remove the peripheral, and then enter the standby or hibernation. If the computer still failsto enter standby or hibernation, restart the computer.z It may take a minute or two to enter standby or hibernation. Wait for a moment.z The computer may not enter standby properly and seems to be frozen in the mode that the computer is communicating viathe modem. When you cannot execute operations, slide the power switch for four seconds or more to forcibly turn yourcomputer off.Problems with Starting Up, Shutting Down and Standby andHibernation
