It can be recharged but in somecases it may take several hours until regularcharging commences.When the lamp blinks rapidly:≥ The battery has not been recharged. Removethe battery from the AC adaptor, and trycharging it again.≥ The battery temperature or ambienttemperature may be extremely high or low.Wait until the appropriate temperature isrestored before charging the battery again. Ifthe battery still fails to charge, somethingmay be wrong with the battery or AC adaptor.Contact your dealer.When the lamp is off:≥ Charging is completed.≥ When the lamp is off but charging is notcompleted, trouble may have occurred in theAC adaptor or the battery. Contact yourdealer.≥ If there is dust, a scratch, or dirt on disc orif it is warped, the following phenomenamay occur:– Block noise in playback image– Momentary stop of playback image– Sound interrupted during playback, orabnormal sound– Thumbnail display with shades of blue andwhite– Disc cannot correctly be recognized– Delay between video and audio≥ When recording images, this unit may avoidthe portions of disc where recording is notpossible, due to dust, scratches, etc. (It willpause at such a portion and automaticallyrestart recording.)When the access lamp is illuminated(during access to the disc), do not open thedisc cover, turn off the power, or cause anyvibrations or impacts.DVD-R≥ For optimum recording on DVD-R disc, thisunit writes control data to the disc in order toautomatically make adjustments when it isinserted and ejected accompanyingrecording. If the disc has no area for controldata to be written, recording may not bepossible. To prevent this, do not insert aDVD-R which has been recorded on morethan 50 times.≥ Do not insert a DVD-R recorded on this unitthat has not been finalized into a recordabledevice, such as a DVD recorder.
