15• A foggy or dirty dome coverr Focus adjustment is available by press-ing the AF switch with a pointed item,such as a ballpoint pen, even aftermounting the dome cover. In such acase, the direction of the camera and thepresence of the object should bechecked beforehand because a visualcheck is not available on the monitor.Notes:• Before mounting the top cover, makesure that the subject is present.• Before pressing the AF switch, makesure that the marker is adjusted to the"LOCK" position.• Be aware that zoom adjustment andcoarse focus adjustment should be per-formed beforehand to obtain precisefocus.• Auto focus adjustment is available onlywhen the AF switch is pressed for WV-CF294.Press the AF switch with a pointed item such asa ballpoint pen."LOCK" positionq Loosen the zoom lock lever and movethe lever between TELE and WIDE toobtain the appropriate angle of view.Tighten the zoom lock lever.w Move the focus lever between FAR andNEAR to make coarse adjustment to thefocus.Note: To change the angle of view bymoving the zoom lock lever, alsomove the focus lever to adjust thefocus.e Press the AF switch on the side of thecamera.The LED for AF lights up for approx. 10sec. and the focus is automaticallyadjusted.Notes:• The ABF function does not cover the fullfocus range. Be sure to perform coarseadjustments to the angle of view andfocus manually, and then press the AFswitch to activate the ABF function.• Do not touch the lens while the LED forAF stays alight. Failure to observe thismay cause trouble.• The AF switch may not initially adjust thefocus. In such a case, widen the apertureby pointing the camera at a dark subject.• The AF switch may not adjust the focusresulting in the LED for AF blinking. Forthe following subjects, select ELC withthe light control mode selector andadjust the focus manually.• Quickly moving subjects• Subjects with remarkable illuminancechange• Subjects with low illuminance (e.g.headlights)• Subjects which are extremely brightor reflective• Subjects behind a window• Subjects with little contrast betweenlight and dark (e.g. white walls)• Subjects with extensive greaterdepth• Subjects which flicker• Subjects with lateral parallel lines(e.g. shutters) PreviousNext |
