7PrefaceThe WV-CP280/WV-CP284 series are surveillance colour CCTV cameras equipped with a 1/3inch CCD solid-state image sensor with 752 of horizontal pixels.The WV-CP280/WV-CP284 series are provided with the adaptive black stretch function, highresolution of 540 TV lines (horizontal), and minimum luminance of 0.8 lx {0.08 foot-candle}(F1.4) thanks to the adoption of the newly developed digital signal processor.PrecautionsDo not attempt to disassemble the cam-era.To prevent electric shock, do not removescrews or covers.There are no user-serviceable parts inside.Ask qualified service personnel for servicing.Do not drop metallic parts through slots.This could permanently damage the appara-tus.Turn the power off immediately and contactqualified service personnel for service.Use this product for indoor use only.Do not expose this product to direct sunlightfor hours and do not install the product neara heater or an air conditioner, otherwise itmay cause deformation, discoloration andmalfunction. Avoid striking,shaking, etc. The camera could be damagedby improper handling or storage.Cleaning the camera bodyTurn the power off when cleaning the cam-era. Use a dry cloth to clean the camera.Do not use strong abrasive detergent whencleaning the camera body. When the dirt ishard to remove, use a mild detergent andwipe gently. Then, wipe off the remainingdetergent with a dry cloth.Otherwise it may cause discoloration. Whenusing a chemical cloth for cleaning, read thecaution provided with the chemical clothproduct.Discoloration on the CCD colour filterWhen continuously shooting a bright lightsource, such as a spotlight, the colour filter ofthe CCD may have deteriorated and it maycause discoloration. Even when changing thefixed shooting direction after continuouslyshooting a spotlight for a certain period, thediscoloration may remain.
