47Using DTMF TonesYou can turn the DTMF key tones off or on during a call.When the [DTMF Off] option is selected, your phone does nottransmit the key tones. It allows you to press keys withouthearing the annoying key tones during a call.To communicate with answering machines or computerizedtelephone systems, the [DTMF On] option must be selected.Transferring a CallYou can transfer the current call to the call on hold yournetwork service provider supports this service, so that thecallers can talk to each other. You will be disconnected fromboth of them.1 During a call, answer or make a call in the normal way, and pressthe [Option] Soft key.2 Press the [ / ] key to select the [Transfer] option andpress the [Select] Soft key or [ ] key.The two people will be connected to each other.463 To switch between two calls, press the [Swap] Soft key.To end the current call, press the [ ] key.The call on hold is automatically reconnected to you.Searching for a Number in ContactsYou can search for a number in your Contacts during a call.1 Press the [Option] Soft key.2 If necessary, press the [ / ] key to highlight the[Name Search] option. Press the [Select] Soft key.3 Select the preferred search types like Name, Group, and Photo.4 Press the [ ] Soft key.5 The Contacts entries are listed.6 Enter the first letters of the name for Name Search.7 The Contact entries are listed starting with the first entrymatching your input.8 To view the highlighted entry, press the [ ] Soft key.For further details about the Contacts feature, see Menu 2.You can also scroll through Contacts from the beginning, by pressingthe [ / ] key.NOTE
