The requirednumber of input cables depends upon yourconfiguration.• One air filter, if needed.• Alarm cables and NMS adapter cable, if needed.These components are used to connect the COPower Unit to a CO alarm system and/or aCOMSPHERE 6800 Series Network ManagementSystem (NMS) through a Modular 3611 DataService Unit (DSU).(A Modular 3611 DSU has a row of contacts on therear edge of the circuit card and is shipped with arear connector plate. The rear connector plateallows the removal of a Modular 3611 DSU fromthe front of the carrier without first disconnectingthe DTE cables at the rear of the carrier. The NMSadapter cable is only compatible with the Modular3611 DSU. For more information on the Modular3611 DSU, see the COMSPHERE 3600 Series DataService Units, Models 3610 and 3611, Operator’sGuide.)The total number of components required dependsupon your configuration. The ACCULINK 3151CSUs and 3161 DSU/CSUs do not supportforwarding of CO Power Unit alarms to a 6800Series NMS.The CO Power Unit can send alarms to a CO alarmsystem and a 6800 Series NMS simultaneously. Toconnect to a CO alarm system, you need onecustomer-supplied alarm cable for each powermodule. To forward alarms to a 6800 Series NMS,you need one Modular 3611 DSU (configured toforward alarms to a 6800 Series NMS) and oneNMS adapter cable. You can also use anon-modular Model 3611 DSU, but you must buildyour own cable. This guide provides information onforwarding alarms to a 6800 Series NMS via aModular 3611 DSU, but reminds you that anon-modular Model 3611 DSU can also be used.1 |
