Use the Configuration(Cnfig) branch of the front panel menu and edit the UserInterface (User) configuration options for asynchronousterminal operation. Refer to the Changing ConfigurationOptions section in Chapter 3, Operation, and Appendix C,Configuration Options. To connect a terminal to the DSU/CSU using Telnetaccess, refer to the Configuring the DSU/CSU for TelnetAccess section in Chapter 3, Operation.Restoring ATI AccessIf the DSU/CSU is misconfigured, leaving it in a statethat does not support asynchronous terminal operation, therecovery procedure consists of power cycling theDSU/CSU, waiting for the completion of the power-upself-test, and then pressing the asynchronous terminal’sReturn key five times in succession. (Begin pressing theReturn key within two seconds after the completion ofpower-up self-test, and do not wait longer than one secondbetween each successive key press.) This procedureallows you to use the System Paused screen to reset theCOM port configuration options or to reload all factorydefault configuration options.G
