Motor / gearbox mounting with parallel motor configurationIn this chapter you can read about:Re-apply toothed belt pre-tension (reinsert the same toothed belt).................................. 22Resetting the toothed belt pre-tension (new toothed belt)................................................ 23Note: Standard North American supplied ETH paralleldrives will be supplied with a bearing support placedbetween the parallel housing and motor.Figure 1: Parallel housing Figure 2: Parallel motorMotor / gearbox dismantling◆ Remove motor connectorCaution!Respect the safety instructions!◆ Remove lid (Fig. 1 Pos. 6) and screws (Fig. 1 Pos. 9).◆ Remove lid (Fig. 1 Pos. 4) and screws (Fig. 1 Pos. 11).ATTENTION: Keep all screws and lids for later mounting.◆ Release toothed belt tension:◆ Slightly loosen 4 screws (Fig. 2 Pos. 7) by1 or 2 turns (see figure on the right).ATTENTION: Do not remove the screwsentirely!◆ Loosen central toothed belt tensioningscrew (Fig. 1 Pos. 12).The drive unit must lower slightly when thetensioning screw is loosened.◆ Loosen tightening screw (Fig. 1 Pos. 12)until the drive unit is not lowered anyfurther.◆ Remove 4 screws (Fig. 2 Pos. 7) completely. First at the bottom, then at the top.Caution!Secure drive unit against dropping.
