116.1 Rinsing after every use• The CLEAN indicator lights up to remindyou to rinse the milk container unit each timeafter you have used the machine to brew acoffee variety with milk (Fig. 27).D Note:If you do not plan to brew a coffee variety withmilk again straightaway, rinse the milk containerunit within 30 minutes after use.1 Pull the milk container lever upwards withyour finger to release the milk container unit.Then pull the milk container unit forwards toremove it from the machine (Fig. 28).2 Press the milk container lid release lever (1),tilt the milk container lid slightly (2) and pullthe milk container lid upwards to remove itfrom the milk container (3) (Fig. 23).3 Pour out any milk that is left in the milkcontainer and rinse the milk container brieflyunder the tap.4 Fill the milk container with cold water up to2-cup cappuccino ff indication.D Note:Do not fill the milk container with warmor hot water. If you do, the machine onlyproduces steam and does not clean the milkcontainer unit properly.5 Fasten the milk container lid onto the milkcontainer (‘click’) (Fig. 25).6 Slide the milk container unit into the coffeemachine (1) and push down the milkcontainer lever (‘click’) (2) (Fig. 5).7 Place an empty cup under the coffeespout (Fig. 29).8 Press the CLEAN button (Fig. 30).• The milk container unit is rinsed.5.10 Interrupting the brewingprocess1 Press the on/off button 3 to interrupt thebrewing process. (Fig. 12)D Note:If you switch the machine back on after havinginterrupted the brewing process, the machinedoes not complete the interrupted brewingcycle.5.11 Switching off1 After use, press the on/off button 3 to switchoff the machine. (Fig. 12)D Note:If you do not switch off the machine, itswitches off automatically after 30 minutes.6 Cleaning the milkcontainer unitIt is important that you clean the milk containerunit regularly and thoroughly. Only a properlycleaned milk container unit performs well andproduces consistently good frothing results.1 If you do not plan to brew a coffee varietywith milk again straightaway, rinse the milkcontainer within 30 minutes after use.2 After the last use of the day, clean all partsof the milk container unit thoroughly.To clean the milk container unit properly, followthe procedure described below.D Note:If you are unable to obtain high-quality milk froth,the milk container unit is probably dirty.ENGLISH
