95.7 Filling the milk containerunitD Note:This section only applies if you have selected oneof the coffee varieties with milk as described inthe previous section ‘Selecting the desired coffeevariety’. If you have selected SENSEO ® blackcoffee, go straight to section ‘Adjusting the cuptray height’.1 Pull the milk container lever upwards withyour finger to release the milk containerunit (Fig. 21).2 Pull the milk container unit forwards toremove it from the machine (Fig. 22).3 Press the milk container lid release lever (1),tilt the milk container lid slightly (2) and pullthe milk container lid upwards to remove itfrom the milk container (3) (Fig. 23).4 Fill the milk container with cold milk straightfrom the refrigerator (5-8°C) up to the levelrequired for the coffee variety (Fig. 24).D Note:The amount of milk added to the coffee mayvary due to variations in milk temperature ortype of milk. It may also depend on how cleanthe milk container unit is.5 Fasten the milk container lid onto the milkcontainer (‘click’) (Fig. 25).B Warning:Always check if the lid is fixed properly ontothe milk container to prevent spillage whenyou place the milk container unit in themachine.6 Slide the milk container unit into the coffeemachine (1) and push down the milkcontainer lever (‘click’) (2) (Fig. 5).D Note:Push down the milk container lever as faras possible (‘click’) to make sure that themilk container unit is placed properly in themachine. You only obtain properly frothed milkif the milk container unit is placed properly.5.5 Placing one or two podsB Warning:Never put normal ground coffee or use tornpods in the SENSEO® machine, as this causes itto become blocked.1 Place the SENSEO ® coffee pod or podsproperly in the centre of the pod holder, withthe convex side pointing downwards.• Place 1 SENSEO® coffee pod in the 1-cuppod holder q. (Fig. 16)• Place 2 SENSEO ® coffee pods in the2-cup pod holder qq. (Fig. 17)D Note:Make sure that the coffee in the pod or podsis evenly distributed and press the pod orpods lightly into the pod holder.2 Close the lid and lock the lid lever (Fig. 18).Make sure that you push down the lid leveruntil it snaps home with a click.D Note:Make sure the lid is closed properly and the lidlever is locked before you start brewing coffee.5.6 Selecting the desired coffeevariety1 Press the coffee selector to select the desiredcoffee variety with or without milk (Fig. 19).• Select À to brew SENSEO® black coffee.• Select f to brew cappuccino.• Select g to brew latte macchiato.• Select b to brew caffè latte.2 If you have selected SENSEO® black coffee À,press the strength selector to select thedesired coffee strength. By varying thestrength, you also change the amount ofcoffee that is brewed. (Fig. 20)• Select e for a smaller amount of strongblack coffee (60ml).• Select d for a normal amount of normalblack coffee (125ml).• Select c for a larger amount of mild blackcoffee (145ml).D Note:You cannot press the strength selectorwhen you have selected one of the coffeevarieties with milk.ENGLISH
