If youinterrupt the descaling cycle, see chapterTroubleshooting for further instructions.• The CALC light and the light ring aroundthe on/off button start to flash slowlyto indicate that the descaling cycle hasstarted.• The descaling cycle takes approx. 35 min.During this cycle, hot water comes out ofthe coffee spout at intervals because themachine pauses several times to let thedescaler mixture act (Fig. 51).• When all the water in the water reservoirhas been used up, the descaling cycle isfinished. The light ring around the on/offbutton starts to flash rapidly to indicatethat the water reservoir is empty.8.1.2 Rinsing cycle1 Empty the bowl and place it back under thespout (Fig. 52).2 Rinse the water reservoir (Fig. 53).3 Fill the water reservoir with fresh tapwater and place it back onto the coffeemachine (Fig. 54).D Note:Do not refill the water reservoir with usedhot water or the used descaling mixture.• The machine is ready for the rinsing cyclewhen the on/off light lights up continuously.4 Press the CLEAN/CALC CLEAN button torinse the machine.
