• 13 •EnglishCLEANING ANDMAINTENANCEGeneral Cleaning• Empty and clean the dregdrawer daily,with the machine turned on.• Maintenance and cleaning operationscan only be carried out when the ma-chine is turned off and unplugged.• Do not immerse the machine in water.• Do not wash any of its parts in thedishwasher.• Do not use alcohol, solvents, and/orabrasive objects to clean the machine.• Use a soft, dampened cloth to clean themachine.• Do not dry the machine and/or itscomponents using a microwave and/orstandard oven.After brewing milk beverages,dispense hot water from thehot water / steam wand (Pannarello,if supplied) to obtain a thoroughcleaning.• Every day, after heating the milk, removethe external part of the Pannarello (ifsupplied) and wash it with fresh drinkingwater.• Clean the hot water / steam wand we-ekly. In order to do this, perform thefollowing operations:- Remove the external part of thePannarello (for standard cleaning);- Remove the upper part of the Panna-rello from the wand;- Wash the upper part of the Pannarellowith fresh drinking water;- Wash the wand with a wet cloth andremove any milk residue;- Replace the upper part in the wand(make sure it is completely inserted).Reassemble the external part of thePannarello.• It is recommended to clean the watertank daily:- Remove the small white filter fromthe water tank and wash it underrunning drinking water.- Reposition the small white filter inits housing by gently pressing andturning it at the same time.- Fill the water tank with fresh drinkingwater.• Empty and clean the drip tray daily.Perform this operation also when thefloat is raised.Brew Group• The brew group should be cleanedevery time the coffee bean hopper isfilled or at least once a week.• Turn off the machine by pressing theON/OFF button and remove the plugfrom the socket.• Remove the dregdrawer. Open theservice door.• To remove the brew group, pull it by thehandle and press the «PUSH» button.The brew group must be washed onlywith lukewarm water with no deter-gent/soap.• Wash the brew group with lukewarmwater, carefully clean the upper filterand dry.• Thoroughly wash and dry all the partsof the brew group.• Thoroughly clean the inside of themachine.• Make sure that the two reference marksmatch up.
