• 7 •EnglishINSTALLATIONFor your safety and the safety ofothers, carefully follow the instruc-tions provided in the “Safety Regula-tions” section.Machine PackagingThe original packaging has been designedand constructed to protect the machineduring transport. We recommend keepingthe packaging material for possible futuretransport.Preliminary Operations• Remove the coffee bean hopper lid andthe drip tray with grill from the packa-ging.• Remove the coffee machine from thepackaging and position it in a place thatmeets the requirements described in the“Safety Regulations”.• Place the drip tray with grill into itsappropriate seat on the machine. Makesure it is fully inserted to its limit stop.• Replace the coffee bean hopper lid.Note: Insert the plug into thesocket only when indicatedand check that the ON/OFF button isnot pressed.Important Note: Carefully readthe explanations of all thewarnings displayed by the machineto the user by means of the lights onthe control panel (see section “ControlPanel Lights”).NEVER remove the drip traywhen the machine is turned on.Wait a couple of minutes after turningon/off, since the machine will carry outa rinse/self-cleaning cycle (see section“Rinse/Self-Cleaning Cycle”).MAXMIN• Remove the water tank.• Rinse and fill it with fresh water ma-king sure that it is not filled exceedingthe MAX level indicated in the watertank. Put the water tank back in itsseat to its limit stop.Use only fresh, non-sparklingwater to fill the tank. Hotwater or any other liquid may damagethe tank and/or the machine. Do notturn on the machine when the tankis empty: Make sure there is enoughwater in the tank.• Remove the coffee bean hopper lid.Note: The hopper may befitted with different safetyfeatures according to the regula-tions of the country of use of themachine.• Slowly pour the coffee beans into thehopper.Only coffee beans must be putinto the coffee bean hopper.Ground coffee, instant coffee orany other object may damage themachine.• Replace the lid on the coffee bean hop-per.• Insert the plug into the socket locatedon the back of the machine.• Insert the plug of the other end of thepower cord into a wall socket withsuitable power voltage.
