18 ENGLISHADJUSTMENTSThe machine allows for certain adjustments so that you can brew the besttasting coffee possible.Saeco Adapting SystemCoffee is a natural product and its characteristics may change according toits origin, blend and roast. The machine is equipped with a self-adjustingsystem that allows the use of all types of coffee beans available on themarket (not for caramelized beans).The machine automatically adjusts itself after brewing several cups ofcoffee to optimize the extraction of the coffee to the compactness of theground coffee.Adjusting the ceramic coffee grinderCeramic coffee grinders always guarantee accurate grinding for everycoffee blend and prevent the beans from overheating.This provides for full aroma preservation, delivering the truly Italian taste inevery cup.Warning:The ceramic coffee grinder contains moving parts that may be dan-gerous. Therefore, do not insert fingers and/ or other objects. Onlyadjust the ceramic coffee grinder using the grinder adjustment key.Turn off the machine by pressing the ON/OFF button and remove theplug from the socket before carrying out any type of operation insidethe coffee bean hopper.You can adjust the ceramic grinders to set the coffee grinding to yourpersonal taste.Warning:The grinder adjustment knob, inside the coffee bean hopper, must beturned only when the ceramic coffee grinder is working.This adjustment can be carried out by pressing and turning the grin-der adjustment knob inside the coffee bean hopper, using the grinderadjustment key provided with the machine.
