Youfind its contact details in the warranty booklet by-packed separately or onwww.philips.com/support.Machine actions Causes SolutionsThe machine does not switchon.The machine is not connected tothe electric network.Connect the machine to the electricnetwork.The drip tray gets filled al-though no water is drained.Sometimes water is drained auto-matically by the machine into thedrip tray to manage the rinsing ofthe circuits and ensure optimummachine performance.This is seen as normal machinebehavior.The red icon is alwaysdisplayed on the machine.The coffee grounds drawer wasemptied with the machine off.The coffee grounds drawer mustalways be emptied with the machineon. Wait until the icon is displa-yed before reinserting the drawer.Coffee is not hot enough. The cups are cold. Preheat the cups with hot water.No hot water or steam isdispensed.The hole of the steam wand isclogged.Clean the hole of the steam wandusing a pin.Make sure that the machine is offand cold before performing thisoperation.The Cappuccinatore is dirty (ifsupplied).Clean the Cappuccinatore.Coffee does not have enou-gh crema.(See note)The blend is unsuitable, coffee isnot freshly roasted or the grind istoo coarse.Change coffee blend or adjust thegrinder as explained in chapter“Adjusting the ceramic coffeegrinder”.The machine takes a longtime to warm up or theamount of water dispensedfrom the wand is too little.The machine circuit is clogged bylimescale.Descale the machine.The brew group cannot beremoved.The brew group is out of place. Turn the machine on. Close the ser-vice door. The brew group automati-cally returns to the initial position.The coffee grounds drawer isinserted.Remove the coffee grounds drawerbefore removing the brew group.There is a lot of ground coffeeunder the brew group.Coffee is not suitable for automa-tic machines.It may be necessary to change thetype of coffee or the coffee grindersettings.
