Problem Cause SolutionYou did not install theAquaClean filter during firstinstallation, but after havingbrewed approx. 25 coffees(based on 100ml/3oz cups). Themachine has to be completelylimescale-free before youinstall the AquaClean filter.First descale the machine and theninstall a new AquaClean filter. Afterdescaling, the filter counter is reset to0/8. Always confirm filter activation inthe machine menu. Also do this afterfilter replacement.The new water filter doesnot fit.You are trying to install anotherfilter than the AquaClean filter.Only the AquaClean filter fits into themachine.The machine is making anoise.It is normal that your machinemakes noise during use.If the machine starts to make a differentkind of noise, clean the brew group andlubricate it (see 'Lubricating the brewgroup').The AquaClean filter was notprepared properly and air isnow drawn into the machine.Remove the AquaClean filter from thewater tank. Shake the filter for about 5seconds. Immerse the filter upsidedown in a jug with cold water for atleast 30 seconds. Wait until no more airbubbles come out. Place the preparedAquaClean filter back into the watertank.
