If you have not used the machine for 1 day,you have to flush it with clean cold water before you use it again. To flushthe machine, fill the water reservoir with clean cold water, place a bowl or2 cups under the spout and press the 2-cup button a few times to brew hotwater until the water reservoir is empty.Fresh coffee podsUse the SENSEO® coffee pods that have been specially developed for yourSENSEO® coffee machine for a full, round taste. Water left in themachine may freeze and cause damage.- Never flush the machine or let it brew coffeewhen the spout is not in place.- Never pour any other liquid than clean coldwater into the water reservoir.- Flush the machine with fresh water beforeyou use it for the first time. This causes thesystem to fill with water, which is essential forthe machine to work properly.- Descale the machine at least every 3 months.If you do not descale the machine regularly,it may stop working properly. In this case,repair is not covered by your warranty.- Never interrupt the descaling process.- Never use a descaling agent based onmineral acids such as sulphuric acid,hydrochloric acid, sulphamic acid and aceticacid (e.g. vinegar).
