17TD-001578-01-AInput Channel − USB Player OverviewThe Overview screen provides an abbreviated view of eachsection in the Input Channel USB Player function. Onlythe primary controls are available for adjustment in theoverview.1. Overview button _ Selects the USB Player Overviewscreen.2. Reset button – Sets all the PEQ controls to theirfactory default position.3. Digital Nain knob – Compensates for digital audiofi les that are too low or high in level.PEQ section4. Parametric EQ graph – A graphic representation ofthe equalization curve based on the PEQ settings. Thetrace dims to indicate that the PEQ is Out (disengaged).• EQ graph vertical scale – Represents audiolevel from -20 dB to +20 dB.• EQ Nraph horizontal scale – Representsfrequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.5. EQ Out/In – Engages / disengages the equalizer.6. EQ Handles – Touch, hold, and drag to change theFrequency and Gain of the associated frequency band. The frequency band button must be engaged to seethe handles.7. High Pass fi lter button – Engages / disengages the high-pass filter. The HPF is variable with a range of 20 Hz to 2,000 Hz. It passesfrequencies above the setting while cutting those below.8. Parametric Band 1 and 2 – Engages / disengages the associated parametric EQ band. Each band is fully parametric with a frequency rangeof 20 Hz to 20 kHz.9. Nain control knobs and readouts – Adjusts the gain at the frequency setting of the associated filter. Range of -15 dB to +15 dB.10. Freq control knob – Sets the frequency of the associated filter.Dynamics Section (AGC)AGC is used to compensate for variations in the audio level of the source material. Refer to the AGC topic for complete details.11. ANC Display – Graphically shows the relationship of the controls as they are set.12. ANC In switch – Engages / disengages the AGC.13. Reduction meter – Indicates how much the signal level has been altered by the AGC. The center (0 dB) indicates that no gain change is beingapplied. Rightward movement of the meter indicates that gain is being applied. Leftward movement indicates attenuation (reduction) of thesignal level.NOTE!: Select a control then use the Nudge buttons to adjust.14. Max Target control – Sets the maximum level that the AGC will maintain.15. Min Target control – Sets the minimum level that the AGC will attempt to maintain.16. Max Nain control – Sets a limit on the amount of gain the AGC will apply regardless of the target settings.17. ANC Threshold control – Sets the level at which the AGC becomes active / inactive. Signals that fall below the threshold level are assumed tobe intentional silence and the AGC will apply no additional gain.18. Release control – Adjusts how long the AGC holds its gain change after the input signal level changes.Inputs Touch Input BankMoreTouchOverviewMore34110968 145 1117 182715121316
