This appliance has a timer system (ACC) that operatesthe stove at its maximum efficiency removing any guesswork for the homeowner. Follow the instructions belowfor each burn rate for the Start-Up Air Control and BurnRate Air Control. Figure 27.1.2. Burn dry, well-seasoned wood.Burn Rates1. Starting a Fire and ReloadingOpen both controls fully by raising the Burn Rate AirControl all the way up until it stops and slide the Start-upAir Control back until it stops. After loading the stove withwood and starting the fire, set both controls to the desiredsetting by following the burn rate instructions below.2. High Burn Rate - Maximum HeatRaise the Burn Rate Air Control all the way up until it stops(top marker) to a fully open position. Slide the Start-Up AirControl all the way back until it stops (HI marker) and leaveit there. This setting over-rides the timer system (ACC) soyou must monitor the fire closely while in this setting.3. Medium-High Burn Rate* - 15,000 to 30,000 BTU/hrRaise the Burn Rate Air Control all the way up until itstops (top marker) to a fully open position. Slide theStart-Up Air Control all the way back until it stops (HImarker) and then pull forward until it stops. This activatesthe timer system (ACC).2. Burn Rate Air ControlThis air supply enters at the upper front of the firebox, near thetop of the glass door. This preheated air supplies the neces-sary fresh oxygen to mix with the unburned gases, helpingto create second, third and fourth combustions. This air isregulated by the Burn Rate Air Control. There are four settingsHigh, Medium-High, Medium-Low and Low. When the controlis raised all the way up it is on the High setting and whenpushed all the down it is on the Low setting. Figure 27.1.NOTE: These are approximate settings, and will vary withtype of wood or chimney draft. Due to altitude and otherenvironmental circumstances, this operational information isa guideline only.WARNINGRisk of Fire. When set on High Burn Rate and over-ridingthe Automatic Combustion Control system anoverfire situation can occur and may result in achimney fire.Overfiring will void the stove warranty.4. Medium-Low Burn Rate* - 10,000 to 15,000 BTU/hrRaise the Burn Rate Air Control up to the bottom ofthe middle marker and stop. Slide the Start-Up AirControl all the way back until it stops (HI marker) andthen pull forward until it stops. This activates the timersystem (ACC).5. Low Burn Rate* - Below 10,000 BTU/hrLeave the Burn Rate Air Control at the bottom marker.Slide the Start-Up Air Control all the way back until itstops (HI marker) and then pull forward until it stops. This activates the timer system (ACC).Figure 27.1NOTE: Operate appliance on High Burn 15 minutes aday to help keep flue/chimney clean.START-UPREAR AIR HIClosedWideOpen“HI” settingover-ridesTimerAfter activating the timer (ACC), if the control is placedwithin the rear air section on the label it will allow rear airto enter the firebox.
