Firepot clean-out plate not closed.Firepot is dirty.Excessive amount of fuel at start-up.Check that fi repot clean-out is fully closed.Clean fi repot. Make sure there is not aclinker in the fi repot. Clinkers may haveto pushed out of fi repot with fi repot clean-outool or other means.Reduce feed rate using feed rate adjust-ment control rod located inside hopper.Turn down thermostat and let the appliance completely cool.Exhaust blower must be off.Unplug appliance before servicing.
