M10 Hardware Designyou the flexibility to put the GSM engine into operation no matter what baud rate your hostapplication is configured to. To take advantage of autobauding mode, specific attention should bepaid to the following requirements:Synchronization between DTE and DCE:When DCE powers on with the autobauding enabled, it is recommended to wait 2 to 3 secondsbefore sending the first AT character. After receiving the “OK” response, DTE and DCE arecorrectly synchronized.Restrictions on autobauding operationz The serial port has to be operated at 8 data bits, no parity and 1 stop bit (factory setting).z The Unsolicited Result Codes like "RDY", "+CFUN: 1" and "+CPIN: READY” are notindicated when you start up the ME while autobauding is enabled. This is due to the fact thatthe new baud rate is not detected unless DTE and DCE are correctly synchronized asdescribed above.Note: You can use “AT+IPR=x;&W” to set a fixed baud rate and save the configuration tonon-volatile flash memory. After the configuration is saved as fixed baud rate, the UnsolicitedResult Codes like "RDY" should be received from the serial port all the time when the moduleis power on.Debug portz Two lines on Serial Port Interfacez Only contains Data lines DBG_TXD and DBG_RXDz Debug Port is only used for debugging. It cannot be used for CSD call, FAX call, GPRSservice, AT command and the Debug port can not be use multiplexing function. It does notsupport autobauding function.3.8.2 Software upgrade and software debugThe TXD、RXD、DBG_TXD、DBG_RXD and GND must be connected to the IO when user needto upgrade software and debug software, the TXD、RXD should be used for software upgrade andthe DBG_TXD、DBG_RXD for software debugging. The PWRKEY pin is recommended toconnect to the IO. The user also can add a switch between the PWRKEY and the GND. ThePWRKEY should be connected to the GND when module is upgrading software.
