Chapter 3 37Playing Audio CDs and MP3 DiscsLoading and Playing an MP3 CDBefore you load a disc, make sure that it is compatible with the player.Make sure that you have properly connected the DVD player (see “Setup andConnections”) before you begin.1. Press the OPEN•CLOSE button on the front of the DVD player.2. Place a disc gently into the tray with the disc’s label facing up.3. The DVD player reads the disc’s table of contents, and then displays theMP3 menu. Playback begins.4. Press STOP to stop playback.The MP3 MenuWhen you play a MP3 disc, the MP3 menu will be displayed instead of the DVDplayer menu. The DVD player menu is not available when playing MP3 discs.MP3 content can be divided into Albums and songs. A disc may hold severalalbums and each album can contain several songs. (Similar to titles and chapterson a DVD disc.)The MP3 song list screen appears after youhave selected an Album from the Album list.1. Use the up/down buttons on the remote to select analbum. Press OK to select that album.2. A list of the songs in that album will be displayed. Ifyou want to play a particular song, use the arrowkeys on the remote to highlight a song and press OKto play that song.3. If you are in a song list and want to return to theAlbum list, press GO BACK to return to the previousmenu screen.After approximately 5 minutes, the screen saver will bedisplayed instead of the MP3 menu. To bring up the MP3menu again, press MENU on the remote.
