There are bundled component video cables sold that are color-coded to match the Y, Pb, Pr jacks (red, green, and blue).Note: Remember to connect the audio cables because the component cable carriesonly the picture signal, not the sound.S-VIDEO OUT Jacks and CablesThe S-Video (separate video) jack provides better picture quality thancomposite video because the color is kept separate from the black andwhite part of the video signal. If your TV has an S-VIDEO jack, connect theDVD Player to the TV with an S-Video cable.Note: Remember to connect the audio cables because the S-Video cable carriesonly the picture signal, not the sound.VIDEO OUTThe basic Video jack (usually color-coded yellow) is also referred to ascomposite video. Composite video is better than the video quality you getfrom an RF coaxial cable (the type used to plug the cable feed into a TV).VIDEO OUTPUT switchIf you connect the DVD Player to a TV that is capable of progressivescanning the signal, you need to use the Y, Pb, Pr jacks and video cables. Itis essential you turn the VIDEO OUTPUT switch to the COMPONENT/PROGRESSIVE scan position.
