7adapter. Your local RadioShack storecarries a wide variety of coaxial antennacable and connectors.Once you choose an antenna, follow themounting instructions supplied with theantenna. Then route the antenna’s cableto the scanner and connect the cable tothe ANT jack on the back of the scanner.Cautions:• Do not run the cable over sharpedges or moving parts that mightdamage it.• Do not run the cable next to powercables or other antenna cables.• Follow all cautions and warningsincluded with your antenna.CONNECTING POWERUse the supplied 10V, 300-mA ACadapter to power the scanner.Warning: Do not use the AC adapter’spolarized plug with an extension cord re-ceptacle unless the blades can be fullyinserted to prevent blade exposure.Cautions:You must use a Class 2power source that supplies10V AC and delivers 300mA. Its plug must fit the scanner’sAC 10V jack. The supplied adaptermeets these specifications. Usingan adapter that does not meet thesespecifications could damage thescanner or the adapter.• A replacement adapter is availableby special order through your localRadioShack store.• Always connect the AC adapter tothe scanner before you connect it toAC power.
