SP. jack on the back ofthe scanner.Note: Plugging in an earphone or head-phones disconnects the scanner’s inter-nal speaker.Listening SafelyTo protect your hearing, follow theseguidelines when you use an earphone/headphones.• Set the volume to the lowest settingbefore you begin listening. After youbegin listening, adjust the volume toa comfortable level.• Do not listen at extremely high vol-ume levels. Extended high-volumelistening can lead to permanenthearing loss.• Once you set the volume, do notincrease it.
