Therear of the shelf should rest on the runners, infront of the rear stop (Fig. 1.9).Standard oven shelves can be fitted by liningup the shelf with a groove in the oven ladders.Push the shelf back until the ends hit the shelfstop. Lift the front so the shelf clears the stops,then lower the front so the shelf is level andpush it fully back.Hob care• NEVER allow anyone to climb or stand onthe hob.• DO NOT use the hob surface as a cuttingboard.• DO NOT leave utensils, foodstuffs orcombustible items on the hob when itis not in use (e.g. tea towels, frying panscontaining oil).• DO NOT place plastic or aluminium foil, orplastic containers on the hob.• ALWAYS turn the control to the OFFposition before removing a pan.• Avoid heating an empty pan. Doing so maydamage both the hob and pan.Cooker careAs steam can condense to water dropletson the cool outer trim of the oven, it may benecessary during cooking to wipe away anymoisture with a soft cloth.
