9The ClockYou can use the 6-button timer (Fig. 2.20) to turn the ovenon and off. The clock must be set to the time of day before theoven will work.To Set the Time of DayPress and hold both the [C] and [D] buttons as shown inFig. 2.21. While holding these buttons simultaneously press[–] or [+] until the correct time shows. If you make a mistakeor press the wrong button, turn off the power supply for aminute or two and start again.To Time Something That is Cooking (MinuteMinder)Hold down the [C] button (Fig. 2.22) and then press eitherthe [–] or [+] button until the time you want to cook for isshown (Fig. 2.23).You can check the time remaining by pressing [C] and cancelthe beeper by pressing [C].• The ‘cook period’, which is the period of time youwant the oven to cook.• The ‘stop time’, which is the time of day you want theoven to stop cooking.To Stop the Oven AutomaticallyPress and hold the ‘stop time’ [E] button (Fig. 2.24) and thenpress the [+] button (or [–] button) until the required ‘stoptime’ shows (Fig. 2.25). AUTO and the cook symbol will showin the display.Once the ‘stop time’ is reached, the beeper sounds. To stop thebeep turn the oven control knob to OFF first and then press[B] once. Press [B] again to return to manual cooking.To Start and Stop the Oven AutomaticallyBefore you set the clock, you must have two numbers clearlyin mind.You cannot set a start time directly – this is set automaticallyby setting the ‘cook period’ and ‘stop time’.Press and hold the [D] button (Fig. 2.26). While holding the[D] button, press either [–] or [+] button (Fig. 2.27) until therequired ‘cook period’ shows.Press the [E] button once to bring up the minimum ‘stoptime’ (Fig. 2.28). Press and hold the [E] button and thenpress the [+] button until the required ‘stop time’ shows(Fig. 2.29). Release the buttons. AUTO will now show in thedisplay.Set the oven to the required temperature. When cooking isfinished the beeper will sound. Turn the oven knob to the OFFposition first, and then press the [B] button once to stop thebeep, and press it again to return to manual cooking.If you are out, do not worry about the beeper going off, itstops after a while.
