Remove dipstick (A)wipe and replace and check that oil is up to themaximum mark. Top up with SAE30 if neccesary.It is important that this test is carried out with theengine cold and vehicle parked on level ground.Air Filter.Examine blockage indicator (B) If indicator showsred filter element requires cleaning or replacement.The indicator is reset by pressing the button on theend of the indicator.Hydraulic Oil Level.Check hydraulic oil level in tank. The level of oilshould be maintained so it is just visible in the sighttube (C) Top up with Tellus 46 or equivilant ifneccesary. The oil level should be checked coldwith the machine parked on level ground.IMPORTANT: Absolute cleanliness must beobserved when filling the hydraulic tank. Oil mustbe filtered through a 25micron filter before enteringthe hydraulic tank.Cooling System.Check coolant level in expansion tank (D) Thecoolant level should be between the marksindicated on the bottle. Top up if neccesary using a50% antifreeze solution.NOTE: To avoid the risk of accidental injurythe seat plate and bonnet are fitted with locks.These should be kept secure when access is notrequired.Cleaning the air filterRemove loose dirt from element with compressedair working from the "clean" to "dirty" side.Note: Compressed air must not exceed6bar, with the nozzle 50mm away from element.The element should be replaced after 6 cleanings.Cooling System.Check Bug Screen (E) is free from dust andthere is an un-interupted air flow to engine. Thescreen should be fitted with the mesh facing therear of the machine. Any deris should be removedwith a soft hand brush.
