Use a slow, deliberate action to cutheavy growth. The rate of cuttingmotion will depend on the materialbeing cut. Heavy growth will requireslower action than will light growth.4. Never swing the unit so hard as youare in danger of losing your balance orcontrol of the unit.5. Try to control the cutting motion withthe hip rather than placing the fullworkload on the arm and hands.6. Take precautions to avoid wire, grassand dead, dry, long-stem weeds fromwrapping around the head shaft. Suchmaterials can stall the head and causethe clutch to slip, resulting in damage tothe clutch system if repeatedfrequently.ADJUSTING THE LINE LENGTH• Your brushcutters is equipped with asemi- auto type nylon line head thatallows the operator to advance the linewithout stopping the engine. When theline becomes short, lightly tap the headon the ground while running the engineat full throttle.• Each time the head is bumped, the lineadvance about 1 inch(25.4 mm).
